ALL EVENTS

Below is a menu with a little description of some of the practices and rituals we use within our monthly events. We lovingly ‘weave’ each event specifically according to the natural flows of life, paying attention to the phases of the moon and other important celebrations from our ancestral calendars.  Typically we incorporate 2-5 of these elements within each of our ‘created with love’ events. For more details, you can dive deeper into each of these within the website.

Cacao Ceremonies
You will be lead through a traditional Cacao Blessing, where you will learn a little about Cacao, and about the rituals used when preparing it. Typically our cacao will be smudged with sage to cleanse and honour, and then little Icaros (native songs) are sung to bless and place positive intentions on it.  Our Cacao ceremonies are a thoroughly divine experience to awaken all senses.  A mindful and sensual exploration of velvety, rich smooth ‘food of the gods’, nourishing mind, body and soul.

Cacao is a great source of serotonin, dopamine, anandamide and phenylethylamine (PEA), four well-studied neurotransmitters, which are associated with feelings of well being and help alleviate depression. Both PEA and anandamide (the bliss chemical) are found in abundance in the brains of happy people and are particularly released when we are feeling happy..

Kundalini Yoga
Kundalini Yoga, is a powerful ancient Indian practice designed to awaken higher levels of consciousness, build self-mastery and harmonise mind, body and spirit.  It is the oldest form of Yoga and was originally only taught to Royalty and the Nobility.

You do not need to be flexible, as most of the class is focussed on life enhancing pranayama (breath work) and small but intense movements called Kriya which can be done by anyone, no matter age or ability. Through this breath-work, specific movements, and timing, the practice of Kundalini Yoga works to enhance the nervous system on a cellular level and increase your energetic and spiritual awareness.

Sound Baths
A Sound Bath is a deeply-immersive, full-body listening experience that intentionally uses sound to invite gentle yet powerful therapeutic and restorative processes to nurture mind body and spirit. The experience begins with each person lying down in a comfortable position with blankets and cushions and we place a lavender sprayed eye mask over your eyes to help you relax even deeper. After a few minutes of guided focus on relaxation, you are taken on a journey of healing sound vibrations and frequencies from a combination of gongs, singing bowls, rattles, rain-sticks and chimes.

Slow Flow Yoga
As the name suggests, this is a gentle flowing Hatha Yoga sequence conducted at a slower pace. The pace is meditative, emphasizing peace and calm in body and mind. We hold poses longer taking several rounds of breath in each pose, instead of moving to a new posture for each breath. Suitable for all abilities.

New Moon Rituals
The New Moon is typically a time when the energy is most supportive in setting intentions for manifestation – what you would most like to bring into your world. It is a perfect time to journal, and we help you organise your thoughts with some important guided questions. In New Moon events we like to help create an environment where you can tap into those deeply held desires and navigate any beliefs you may have holding you back from receiving.

Full Moon Rituals
The Full Moon is typically a time when the energy is most supportive in ‘letting go’, in cleansing your mind, body and spirit of stagnant energy, beliefs, patterns as well as external clutter in your surroundings. It can also be a good time to journal, or it might be a good time to gently stretch the body with a slow flow yoga routine, and a deeply healing and restorative sound bath. It is a time to go inward; it’s not a time to exert lots of energy, but to rest and receive, cleanse and detox.

Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is a gorgeously restorative practice designed to induce total physical, mental, and emotional relaxation, basically like a guided meditation. You are guided (laying down in total comfort), through a series of steps to induce deeper relaxation that will feel somewhere between wakefulness and sleep. This is where deep healing can occur.

Each session of Yoga Nidra will focus on a different theme and intention, but you can be assured of a relaxed and blissful journey, and you will likely feel like you’ve had a really good nights sleep after you wake.

Celestial Communication Meditation
Celestial communication is a beautiful practice used in Kundalini Yoga. It is a form of meditation that uses mantra and mudra, with a sequence of upper body movements that correspond with the particular mantra we are using. It opens the heart chakra and all the higher chakras. It also increases prana, fires up the neurons, relieves stress and connects you with the infinite and the divine.
